On Friday 26 June, we will be showing our support for the Socceroos by celebrating with a splash of green and gold! ππππ Students are invited to wear their favourite Australia themed clothing and accessories, including green and gold colours, Australia jerseys/shirts, scarves, beanies, hats, ribbons, or other appropriate items, over their usual school uniform. βΌοΈPlease do not bring face paint, zinc, or glitter. This is a fun opportunity for our school community to come together and cheer on the Socceroos while showing our Australian spirit. We encourage students to participate and help create a sea of green and gold throughout the school. Please ensure that all clothing and accessories remain suitable for a school environment and that students continue to wear their regular school uniform underneath. We look forward to seeing everyone get behind the Socceroos! β½πβ½π

β½οΈπ Congratulations to Mrs McGrath and the Open Girls Football Team on their outstanding 3β0 victory over Gilroy in yesterday's Grand Final. With this impressive win, the team now advances to the NSWCCC Quarter Finals next term, where they will represent PDSSSC against Wollongong. ~INTERNATIONAL MATHS CHALLENGE~ We have had 14 students recently compete in the International Maths Challenge, and 6 have been named as ELITEST for having achieved results between the 80th and 95th percentile in the competition (top 5-20% of students in the whole competition)!! The worldwide challenge is open to selected schools only, where students complete the test on a weekend, in their own time, which consists of 26 questions that had to be answered in 1 hour. 𧣠Scarf & Beanie Day 𧣠A huge thank you to everyone who donated warm winter essentials and groceries for our Scarf and Beanie Day today!! βοΈπ We were also overwhelmed by the generosity of our families, who donated delicious baked goods for our cupcake stall, which was a huge success!π§π Every donation and cupcake purchase will help make a real difference to people doing it tough this winter, supporting the Vinnies Winter Appeal. This morning, our students enjoyed another inspiring Pathways Breakfast, this time exploring the diverse and rewarding careers available in the agricultural and animal industries. π±ππππ Students had the opportunity to hear firsthand from a panel of Marian alumni who shared their unique career journeys, tertiary study experiences, and the many pathways that led them into their chosen professions. A huge thank you to our wonderful guest speakers: πΎ Courtney Agius (Class of 2016) π± Alana Wooldridge (Class of 2021) πΆ Dr Erin Eisenthuth (Class of 2017) π Patrick Leach (Class of 2025) π¦ Patricia Constantino (Class of 2021) Their stories highlighted the incredible variety of opportunities within agriculture and animal industries, demonstrating that there are many pathways to success. We are incredibly grateful that they returned to Marian to inspire the next generation by sharing their experiences, advice and passion. Thank you to all our alumni for giving back to our community and showing our students what is possible beyond the classroom. π
