We're excited to welcome prospective families and students to the college for our 2026 Open Evening! This is a great opportunity to explore the learning facilities of our school, meet with students and staff and see what our college has to offer. ⭐️ OPEN EVENING - WEDNESDAY 25 FEBRUARY, 2026 ⭐️ College Tours and an information session will be held at 4.00pm and 6.00pm (This will be approximately 1.5 hours duration). Each session and tour is the same format, and only requires attendance for one time slot. Marian is enrolling now for 2027 and 2028! The first round of enrolment applications for Year 7, 2027 close on Friday 27 March 2026. Enrolment packs will be available at the Open Evening. Please note that any enrolment enquiries will be responded to in Term 1, 2026.

In the last week of term, the Marian Catholic College community gathered in faith and joy for our End of Year Christmas Mass, celebrated by Fr Clement. In his thoughtful homily, Fr Clement invited us to pause and reflect on the learning, growth, and grace that have shaped our journey throughout the year. He reminded us that the Christmas story calls us to recognise God’s presence in our daily lives and to carry forward the lessons we have learnt with hope, gratitude, and renewed purpose. It was a beautiful and prayerful conclusion to the school year, uniting our community in celebration and thanks.

~ATTENTION YEAR 12 2025 GRADUATES~ CSPD is pleased to launch the 2026 CSPD Teacher Scholarship Program, created to support Year 12 graduates in our schools as they begin their journey toward a career in education by commencing a full-time Primary or Secondary teaching degree next year. Applications for the 2026 program are now open and close Monday 26 January 2026. This initiative forms part of our Early Careers Strategy, focused on building a strong, prepared, and supported pipeline of future teachers for our CSPD schools. Under this program, successful applicants will have access to a range of valuable supports, including: - Financial assistance – $5,000 per calendar year of full-time study - A new laptop provided at the commencement of their teaching degree - Paid employment opportunities in CSPD schools - Exclusive mentoring, formation, and development sessions throughout their degree - Priority employment pathways into CSPD teaching roles upon graduation Applicants will be required to submit a cover-letter-style application that includes: - A resume - Nomination of one professional reference from their school (e.g. Principal) - ATAR results The 2026 application form can be found here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1GqiryN5E37JldBW_Dv8Qrru3kjwZwHvf8UMQLJ1BMW8/viewform?edit_requested=true As part of the application process: - Applicants will be asked to provide a professional reference (e.g. their Principal) - The CSPD Early Talent Team will contact the nominated referee directly to verify and confirm applications and eligibility at the start of the 2026 school year. - Given the time of year that applications have opened, applicants have been advised that they are not required to contact the school/principal for a reference (which is different to previous years)

In the final weeks of term, our Year 10 students have taken part in a series of purposeful programs designed to equip them with diverse skills and experiences to support their transition into Stage 6 studies or the workforce. Through the β€˜Spark Program’, students stepped out into the local community volunteering at local primary schools and retirement homes. Other students worked together at the College to carefully wrap gifts and create heartfelt cards for the Vinnies Winter Appeal. These opportunities encouraged students to develop empathy, strengthen communication skills and live out our Catholic values through service to others. Spark Week also included the Galmatic Car Maintenance workshop, which equipped students with practical knowledge and skills in tyre changing and general car maintenance. During β€˜Xplor Week’, students preparing to enter Stage 6 in 2025 immersed themselves in their selected Year 11 subjects. Guided by their teachers, this hands-on exploration gave students a clearer understanding of course expectations and helped them approach senior studies with confidence and purpose. Congratulations to our Year 10 students for the energy, maturity and positivity they brought to these valuable learning experiences.

~INTERNATIONAL MATHS CHALLENGE~ Every year, on a weekend in November, Marian students are invited to participate in the International Maths Challenge. As a selected school, we have been vetted by the competition organisers and specifically invited to have our students enrol in the Online Simulated Maths Challenge, which involves answering 34 questions, at three different difficulty levels, in 60 minutes. This year, 10 students from Years 7 to 10 chose to compete, and we are very pleased to announce that 3 have achieved results that place them higher than 80% of the students from around the world who entered the competition!!! They have been graded as International Maths Challenge Elite Level competitors! πŸŒβž•βž—βž–βœ– Congratulations to Victoria A (Year 8 ), Aryan S (Year 8 ) and Jaime M (Year 10) - we are very proud of what you have achieved!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

The festive spirit was alive and well at Marian today as we celebrated our annual Santa Hat Day! πŸŽ…βœ¨ Recess was buzzing with excitement as students and staff came together to raise valuable funds for the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Christmas treats πŸŽ„πŸͺ added an extra touch of joy, and Santa brought plenty of cheer with a lively round of Christmas karaoke, filling the space with smiles and song. 🎢 A heartfelt thank you to our generous Marian families who have once again donated an abundance of items to support this important cause. Our community continues to embody the true spirit of giving and compassion for those in need. Special thanks to Mrs Thomas for coordinating such a joyful and meaningful day of festive fun and goodwill! πŸŽ„
