R U OK? Day is a campaign aimed at building the motivation, confidence and skills of the help-giver. Our focus at Marian this year is building the capacity of our students to: 💛Ask “R U OK?” 💛Listen 💛Encourage action 💛Check-In Our Year 12 leaders showed a useful video today from the R U OK? A few weeks ago, our Year 12 Student Leadership Team celebrated their final school assembly. Tomorrow, we look forward to our 2026 Leadership Investiture Assembly, where we will formally welcome our new leaders and thank our outgoing team for their dedication, passion, and commitment throughout their 2024/2025 term of leadership. We are grateful for the many ways our 2025 leaders have served and inspired our school community, and we are excited to see our 2026 leaders step into their new roles. ✨

Today’s theme for our Pathways Breakfast focused on inspiring career journeys dedicated to serving people and protecting communities. We were privileged to welcome back five remarkable Marian alumni who generously shared their experiences and insights from their professional paths: 🌟Dylan Keane (2019) – Police Constable 🌟Brooke Fitzpatrick (2020) – Criminal Lawyer 🌟Isabella Pietrasanta (2017) – Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse 🌟Rhiannon Williams (2014) – Investigation and Resolution Officer 🌟Janina Del Rosario (2014) – Corporate Lawyer It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to engage in conversations with our alumni, gain real-world advice, and be inspired by their journeys of service and justice. We are so grateful for the continued support of our Marian Alumni in guiding and encouraging our students as they explore their own career pathways. 💙

~2025 BISHOP OF PARRAMATTA AWARD~ It is with great pride that we congratulate Year 12 student, Jasmine Jardin on receiving the Bishop of Parramatta Award for Student Excellence. This award acknowledges the contribution of one Year 12 student from each Catholic secondary school towards their school and local community, as well as their religious and academic achievements throughout the year. Jasmine exemplifies an authentic, faith-filled witness of Christ’s love through her leadership and service. A passionate advocate for social justice, she has worked tirelessly for the marginalised, most notably through her involvement in the Philippines immersion. As a student catechist at Dural Public School, Jasmine nurtures the faith of young students, embodying compassion and dedication. A strong academic achiever and accomplished public speaker, she inspires her peers both in and beyond the classroom. Additionally, as a member of the St. Madeleine Sophie Barat Lifted Sports Team, she demonstrates teamwork and a spirit of service. With her leadership skills as College Captain, Jasmine puts her faith in action, and as such is an exemplary candidate for this award.

During our FIAT lunch meetings, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming Rabab, a refugee from Syria who Marian is helping to sponsor through the Catholic Care CRISP program. With the support of Ms Abi Chemouni and Ms Safar, who assist with translation, Rabab has been able to share her experiences and reflections with us. She has spoken about the peace and love she has felt since arriving in Australia—feelings that have been absent for a long time. At the same time, she shared the challenge of finding happiness while still carrying sadness and worry for her family. One of her most powerful messages was the importance of not judging others by their appearance or words, as there is always a bigger story behind each person. Rabab has expressed her gratitude to the students for their welcome, saying that even a simple smile makes her feel at home. 🙂 #FIATatMarian #BeConnected #BeMarian

Congratulations to our incredible 9–10 Girls Basketball team for taking out the PDSSSC Gala Day on Friday with their coaches Miss Hewitson and Miss Kinchington! 🏀🌟 Their hard work, teamwork and determination have paid off, and they will now go on to represent PDSSSC at the NSWCCC Championships. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY God our Father, we give you thanks and praise for fathers young and old. We pray for young fathers, newly embracing their vocation; may they find courage and perseverance to balance work, family and faith in joy and sacrifice. We pray for our own fathers around the world whose children are lost or suffering; may they know that the God of compassion walks with them in their sorrow. We pray for men who are not fathers but still mentor and guide us with fatherly love and advice. We remember fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers who are no longer with us but who live forever in our memory and nourish us with their love. Amen
