🌟Celebrating Student Success! 🌟 We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students who have recently competed at international, national and state-level sporting competitions. Their dedication and commitment to their sport are truly inspiring. Zara D (Year 11) - Zara competed at the 2026 Asian Fencing Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, winning Bronze in the Cadet Women’s Sabre, Bronze in the Cadet Women’s Sabre Team event, and placing 8th in the Junior Women’s Sabre. An incredible international achievement! 🤺🌏🌟 Hayley F (Year 8 ) - Hayley competed at the All Schools Triathlon, winning Gold and finishing 1st Overall Junior Female and 1st in NSWCCC. She has been selected to represent NSW All Schools at the School Sport Australia Triathlon Championships later this month. 🏆🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️🌟 Scarlett W (Year 7) - Scarlett competed at the BMX Oceania Championships against riders from across the region, finishing 19th overall in a very strong field. She will next compete at the National Championships in April, aiming to qualify for the BMX World Championships. 🚴‍♀️🇦🇺 🌟 Isaac P (Year 9)- Isaac competed at the NSW Combined Events State Championships, earning a Bronze Medal in the Heptathlon ( Javelin, Long Jump, 100m Hurdles, 200m, Shot Put, 1500m and High Jump). 🥉🏃🌟 Isabelle A (Year 7)- Izzy was selected to represent NSW Blues at the Indoor Netball Junior Nationals in the 12 and Under division! 🏐🌟 Ella D (Year 8 ) - Ella also represented NSW at the Indoor Netball National Championships. She is now preparing for the State Titles in July with her local Netball Association State Representative Team. 🏐🌟 Madison R (Year 8 ) - Madison and her team, Carlingford Heat, achieved Silver at the Oztag Junior State Cup, remaining undefeated across the three-day tournament until the Grand Final — an outstanding result placing second in the state. 🏉🌟 Congratulations to all of these students for your achievements, we look forward to following their continued success! 👏👏👏 #SportAtMarian #BeChallenged #BeMarian

~LEARNING AT MARIAN~ Our Year 11 Agriculture students recently headed to the Central Coast for a fantastic day of hands-on learning. 🌱🚜 At East Coast Beverages in Kulnurra, students explored the orange orchard and toured the factory, learning about the company’s history, values and daily operations. The visit wrapped up with a refreshing highlight – sampling the fresh juice and spring water processed onsite. 🍊💧 Students also visited Grace Springs Farm, a regenerative farm producing pork, veal, milk, eggs and meat chickens. The tour provided a great opportunity to see sustainable farming practices in action and learn more about modern agriculture. A wonderful and informative experience for all involved! #LearningAtMarian #BeInspired #BeMarian

~TERM 1 PATHWAYS BREAKFAST - Careers You May Not Have Considered ~ Students and Parents from Years 9 to 12 are warmly invited to our upcoming Pathways Breakfast, where professionals (Marian Catholic College alumni), from a range of industries will share what their careers really involve — beyond the job title. From marketing and financial crime to counselling, surveying, property, and retail management, our speakers will unpack the unexpected pathways, skills, and opportunities that shaped their journeys. This is a great opportunity for students to broaden their thinking, ask questions, and discover careers they may never have considered. ✨LIFTED LEADERS✨ Last week, our Year 12 College Leaders had the privilege of attending the annual LIFTED Leaders Conference, hosted by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese at West HQ. LIFTED brings together student leaders from across the diocese - it is an inspiring opportunity to connect, collaborate and share ideas with one another. Through meaningful discussions and workshops, our leaders reflected on what it truly means to lead within a Catholic school community, with a strong focus on service, social justice and faith in action. ✨ Students were inspired by Bishop Vincent Long, who encouraged students to focus on mission over recognition, modelling their leadership on the example of Jesus Christ. 🌟 Celebrating Our Outstanding Years 7–10 da Vinci Decathlon Teams! 🌟 Last week, a number of our incredible students represented Marian at the da Vinci Decathlon — a rigorous academic competition designed to extend high-potential learners across ten disciplines including Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Code Breaking, Art & Poetry, Ideation and more. The Decathlon challenges students to think critically, collaborate under pressure and apply knowledge creatively across a diverse range of fields. ~PROJECT COMPASSION 2026~ This Lent, Marian Catholic College is raising funds to help support Project Compassion, Caritas Australia’s annual fundraising campaign. Every day, millions of people around the world face unimaginable challenges just to access basic essentials – like clean water, healthcare and safe shelter. Project Compassion helps to change that, by providing critical resources and opportunities for people to reclaim their lives with dignity, resilience and hope. This year, our goal is to raise $5,000 - together, we can give people the dignity, safety, and opportunities they deserve. Every dollar we raise will help to create real and lasting change for vulnerable communities around the world! ~OPENING COLLEGE MASS AND ASH WEDNESDAY~ Today the 2026 Marian Catholic College Opening Mass brought our community together to mark the beginning of the school year while also acknowledging the sacred season of Lent. Celebrated by Fr Giovani, the Mass invited students and staff to reflect on the example of Mary, our college patroness, whose faith, humility and willingness to say “yes” to God continue to guide our Marian identity. As we enter the Lenten period, we were encouraged to pause, reflect and grow, striving to be the best versions of ourselves, not only for our own faith journey, but in the way we care for and serve others within our college community and beyond. During the celebration, our new Year 7 students were presented with their House badges and received a whole-school blessing, warmly welcoming them into the Marian community.
