🌟CELEBRATING STUDENT SUCCESS! 🌟 Congratulations to our students on their recent outstanding sporting achievements! 🏐 Congratulations to Elisa R, Ella D and Rachel F on becoming NSW U/14 Netball State Champions with Baulkham Hills Shire Netball Association at the HART Junior State Titles. Competing in 21 matches over three days at Campbelltown against the best netball associations across NSW, the team won an incredible 20 games to claim the State title!! 🏐 Ella D (Year 8 ) was talent identified by Netball NSW Selectors and invited to participate in an upcoming Netball NSW pathways skills clinic with elite level coaches from Netball NSW. 🏃 Hayley F (Year 8 ) achieved an outstanding 9th place at NSWCCC Cross Country and 23rd at the All Schools Championships. 🤸 Mikayla W (Year 9) proudly represented NSW in the Level 8 Division at the Gymnastics Border Challenge in Queensland with an amazing performance, contributing to her team’s overall score. 🤸 Elizabeth S (Year 9) claimed gold on Floor in the Level 8 Seniors Division at the NSW Senior State Gymnastics Championships. 🏉 Nate M (Year 10) represented Baulkham Hills Bulls at the state championships in February earlier this year and earned selection in the Western Sydney Tiger Cubs U/16 team and will compete at the Australian Oztag Junior Championships in Coffs Harbour. We are incredibly proud of all our students and wish them continued success in their sporting journeys! 👏👏👏

As our Year 12 students begin their HSC Trial Examinations on Monday, we hold them in our thoughts and prayers during this significant milestone in their final year at Marian. Through our Student Prayer Partner Program, each Year 12 student has been paired with a Marian staff member who is praying for them individually as they navigate the Trial and HSC exams. We invite the wider Marian community to join us in prayer for our Year 12 students—that they may be filled with calm, courage, focus and resilience. May God bless them with clarity of mind, strength in their preparation, and confidence in all they have learned. God bless Year 12 and Good Luck! 🙏🙏🙏

We were delighted to celebrate our first voluntary Mass for students, staff and families, celebrated by Fr Giovani on the Feast of Saints Mary, Martha and Lazarus this week. We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Giovani for leading this special celebration and for helping us begin this new opportunity for our community to gather in prayer. We look forward to continuing these voluntary Masses throughout the remainder of the year, with celebrations taking place before school, at recess and during lunch. The date of our next Mass will be published shortly. We hope many members of our Marian community will be able to join us.

🌟 A very warm welcome to our friends from Ikubunkan High School! 👋👋 Today we were delighted to welcome students from Ikubunkan High School in Japan! 🇯🇵✈️🇦🇺 Their visit offers a wonderful chance for them to practise English and immerse themselves in Australian culture. Our students are excited to be connecting with the visiting students during the school day, learning from one another and sharing stories across cultures. We also extend a heartfelt thank you to the families in our community who have generously opened their homes to host our guests. We look forward to another week filled with new friendships, shared learning and lasting memories – Welcome to Marian! 🌏🤝

Our Year 7 students spent yesterday taking part in a series of engaging wellbeing workshops designed to support their personal growth, confidence and resilience. The boys participated in 'The Character We Forge', exploring how character is shaped through the challenges we face and the choices we make. Through powerful stories, including those shared by guest speaker Jay Stevens, students reflected on resilience, respect, confidence, brotherhood and the importance of setting high personal standards. The girls took part in 'The Butterfly Effect', delivered by Enlighten Education, which focused on building confidence, fostering healthy friendships, developing resilience, practising gratitude and encouraging a positive self-image. These workshops provided valuable opportunities for our students to reflect on who they are, the values they want to live by, and the positive impact their everyday choices can have on themselves and those around them.

Our staff were privileged to learn from neuroscientist Dr Mark Williams during yesterday's Staff Development Day. Dr Williams shared fascinating insights into how the brain learns, the importance of attention, memory and sleep, and the powerful role that positive relationships play in student learning. The session also explored the impact of technology and distractions on learning and highlighted practical strategies to help students thrive. We look forward to applying these evidence-informed approaches in our classrooms to continue providing the best possible learning experiences for our students. 🧠📚

📝 HSC Practice Trial Examinations 📝 Today, our Year 12 students, together with our accelerated Year 10 and Year 11 students, commenced their HSC Practice Trial Examinations. Held over three days across the majority of HSC courses, these examinations provide students with a valuable opportunity to experience exam conditions and receive detailed feedback. Students can then use this feedback to refine their knowledge, skills and exam techniques before the official HSC Trial Examinations in August. Congratulations to all of our students for the positive way they have approached these examinations. We wish them every success as they continue to give their best throughout the week.

Congratulations to our dance troupes who represented Marian at the PDSSSC Dance Competition this week. Competing against schools from across the diocese, our students demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication. 🥇1st place - senior contemporary 🥇1st place - senior jazz 🥈2nd place - hip hop 🥉3rd place - junior solo (Charlotte T, Year 7) These outstanding results saw Marian crowned PDSSSC Champion School (for the 5th consecutive year)!!! Throughout the year, our students have been inspired by some of the industry’s most talented choreographers - Pete Evans, Terina Edwards, Kyle Borg and Lachlan Thomas. Through workshops, they have challenged our dancers to step outside their comfort zones, refine their skills and grow as performers. Congratulations to all of our dancers!! 👏👏👏

And that’s a wrap!!! We've had THE TIME OF OUR LIVES! ❤️🎭 Congratulations to our incredible cast, band, crew, staff and families—thank you for giving it everything for the 80's!!! Through every rehearsal, every performance, you reminded us why girls (and boys) just want to have fun!! There were moments that had us walking on sunshine, days that felt more like nine to five, and a cast full of material girls (and boys!). Thankfully, no one ever really gave love a bad name, and one thing's for sure... we're never gonna give you up! So before you wake me up before you go-go, one last heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported Back to the 80's. Whether you performed, worked behind the scenes, volunteered your time or cheered from the audience, you helped make this show one we'll never forget. Until the next production... thanks for the memories. ⭐🎉👏👏👏
