🌟Celebrating Student Success! 🌟 We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students who have recently competed at international, national and state-level sporting competitions. Their dedication and commitment to their sport are truly inspiring. Zara D (Year 11) - Zara competed at the 2026 Asian Fencing Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, winning Bronze in the Cadet Women’s Sabre, Bronze in the Cadet Women’s Sabre Team event, and placing 8th in the Junior Women’s Sabre. An incredible international achievement! 🤺🌏🌟 Hayley F (Year 8 ) - Hayley competed at the All Schools Triathlon, winning Gold and finishing 1st Overall Junior Female and 1st in NSWCCC. She has been selected to represent NSW All Schools at the School Sport Australia Triathlon Championships later this month. 🏆🏊‍♀️🏃‍♀️🚴‍♀️🌟 Scarlett W (Year 7) - Scarlett competed at the BMX Oceania Championships against riders from across the region, finishing 19th overall in a very strong field. She will next compete at the National Championships in April, aiming to qualify for the BMX World Championships. 🚴‍♀️🇦🇺 🌟 Isaac P (Year 9)- Isaac competed at the NSW Combined Events State Championships, earning a Bronze Medal in the Heptathlon ( Javelin, Long Jump, 100m Hurdles, 200m, Shot Put, 1500m and High Jump). 🥉🏃🌟 Isabelle A (Year 7)- Izzy was selected to represent NSW Blues at the Indoor Netball Junior Nationals in the 12 and Under division! 🏐🌟 Ella D (Year 8 ) - Ella also represented NSW at the Indoor Netball National Championships. She is now preparing for the State Titles in July with her local Netball Association State Representative Team. 🏐🌟 Madison R (Year 8 ) - Madison and her team, Carlingford Heat, achieved Silver at the Oztag Junior State Cup, remaining undefeated across the three-day tournament until the Grand Final — an outstanding result placing second in the state. 🏉🌟 Congratulations to all of these students for your achievements, we look forward to following their continued success! 👏👏👏 #SportAtMarian #BeChallenged #BeMarian

🌟 Celebrating Our Outstanding Years 7–10 da Vinci Decathlon Teams! 🌟 Last week, a number of our incredible students represented Marian at the da Vinci Decathlon — a rigorous academic competition designed to extend high-potential learners across ten disciplines including Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Code Breaking, Art & Poetry, Ideation and more. The Decathlon challenges students to think critically, collaborate under pressure and apply knowledge creatively across a diverse range of fields. It is demanding, competitive and fast-paced — and our students were exceptional. 📅 Years 7–8 competed on Wednesday 25 February and Years 9-10 competed on Friday 27 February at Santa Sophia Catholic College We are proud to share their results, listed from Years 7–10, with highest awards first in each year group: YEAR 7 🥈 2nd – Ideation 🥉 3rd – Legacy 🥉 3rd – Code Breaking 🥉 3rd – Science YEAR 8 🥈 2nd – Mathematics 🥉 3rd – Science YEAR 9 🥇 1st – Cartography 🥈 2nd – Art & Poetry 🥈 2nd – Ideation YEAR 10 🥇 1st – Engineering 🥈 2nd – Ideation 🥉 3rd – Creative Producers These results demonstrate academic excellence, creativity, teamwork and perseverance across multiple disciplines.
